Where the Phil & Teds Stuff is Made
It all happened because Phil & Teds were rubbish at manufacturing their buggies in New Zealand – they had a 180% production return rate (NOT good) so Phil & Teds had to get better. Phil & Teds tried out sourcing their frames and fabric but eventually they took their manufacturing to Taiwan and then to China.
Phil & Teds have been in China now for 9 years and have 4 factories contracted to them, they only make Phil & Teds products - they're passionate about what they do.
These factories all have natural light, are heated or cooled accordingly, lunches are paid for and the people working there work a 10 hour day. They love to work and do as much overtime as allowed. We admire their work ethic.
How does Phil & Teds know? They visit often and have great relationships with these guys.
Phil & Teds has also got guys working for them in China checking the quality of their products because their mission is to design, make and market products of the highest quality.
They liaise with their quality assurance team in New Zealand who monitor the quality of our customer interactions, with the intent to continually improve their customers total experience.
This way Phil & Teds can deliver winning products.
All of Phil & Teds factories have ISO-9001 accreditation.
