The Maxi Cosi FamilyFix Base is part of the Car Seat Family: A single FamilyFix base unit is all you need to fit the Pebble Infant Seat(or CabrioFix Infant Seat) and Pearl car seats, offering 3½ years of Isofix safety and ease of use.

What is IsoFix?
* IsoFix is an international standardised system for installing children’s car seats in cars. Many new cars offer the IsoFix system nowadays. The system consists of two hooks located between the back and the seat of the rear car seat. These hooks are attached to the body of the car, making it no longer necessary to install a car seat using the car safety belts. Maxi-Cosi car seats that are installed using the IsoFix system are attached not only to these two hooks, but have a “support leg” on the front to ensure optimal safety. In the event of a head-on collision, the car seat cannot be projected forward.
